The scholarship is funded by a gift from the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust. The project seeks to better understand how fear of injury in a crash is influencing people?s decisions not to walk or ride a bicycle, and how this can be overcome to help governments to reach their goals in terms of sustainable transport to address both traffic congestion and chronic disease. The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q) at QUT is seeking an exceptional candidate to work on the topic of The influence of perceived risk on adoption of sustainable transport modes.
