Nanoparticle genotoxicity scholarship

Scholarship Information

Award value: $27596 annually

Level of study: Postgraduate

Nationality: Australian and New Zealand

The research project is aligned with a recently awarded Australian Research Council Discovery Grant "Nanoparticle regulation of DNA replication and repair pathways". The project will suit driven candidates interested in nanoparticle toxicology. Specifically linking physico-chemical properties of nanoparticles to altering gene and protein regulation in cells. The project is in a pioneering area of research to provide high-impact outcomes on how exposure to nanoparticles can lead to genotoxic stress as well as therapeutic opportunities in treatment of cancer with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The projects are highly multidisciplinary in nature and suited to individuals with nanotechnology, biomedical, biophysics, molecular biology, physical chemistry or similar backgrounds.
