The Asian Experience Travel Grant will be awarded to a high-performing student who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Property) degree at the University of South Australia. The grant will provide a talented student with the opportunity to develop their property skills and experience in a global context by undertaking a 6-week internship at Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd (Mapletree) in Singapore. Course credit may be earned for participation in the program by enrolment in placement courses BUSS3080 (4.5 units) and BUSS3010 (9.0 units). The internship period will usually coincide with the semester or year breaks‚ however this may not be possible in all years. The grant is intended to encourage students to participate in an overseas work placement which‚ in many cases‚ may otherwise be beyond their financial means. Evidence of financial disadvantage‚ as well as academic achievement‚ will be considered as part of the judging criteria and the selected recipient will receive this one-off grant to assist with the cost of travel‚ accommodation and living expenses incurred as part of their trip.
