Established in 1992, Queensland School of Film & Television (QSFT) is a Registered Training Organisation that provides training in film and television. The School aims to produce graduates with the skills and enthusiastic attitude production companies look for by giving students hands-on training. The trainers are currently employed in the production industry and are tertiary qualified or accredited by the appropriate professional association. Courses include Diplomas, Certificate III for high school leavers and workshops for hobbyists and professionals. The School curriculum focuses on technical and organisational skills with the aim of ensuring success in the film and television industry. Creative aspects and an underpinning knowledge of filmmaking are also taught.
