Course Details

This program provides a comprehensive and advanced understanding of contemporary issues and the future directions in social work practice and the profession of social work. Graduates develop a broad social work knowledge base, and are well prepared to professionally and actively navigate this complex profession and practice settings, with strong industry recognition. The program comprises a significant practical component in the form of two field education placements. It provides a postgraduate level qualification into the social work profession, enabling current human and community service and applied health workers to update their professional experience with knowledge and skills for the social work discipline. This may be for the purpose of career advancement, career change, taking on leadership roles and/or professional interest, and importantly to develop their professional identity as a social worker.
