Course Details

The Master of Exercise Physiology is for students who have completed an AQF level 7 Bachelor (or higher), or equivalent, degree in exercise and sport science who wish to pursue a career as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). The Master of Exercise Physiology is an advanced professionally orientated degree program which has been designed to meet the required Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) professional standards whilst including exciting course offerings reflecting current and emerging areas of exercise physiology practice. Graduates of the program can expect to occupy specialised roles in integrated health practice where exercise interventions are used as part of the management of disease, injury, and dysfunction. Throughout this program you will learn from experienced clinicians and researchers, developing skills in critical thinking and reflective practice in pathophysiology as well as medical management of disease enabling prescription and delivery of exercise within diverse health care settings. Student focused learning is provided through a balance of flexible and engaging electronic learning with face to face clinical problem-solving experiences combined with placement opportunities in an expansive and supportive clinical network.

Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)

Course structure: Students are required to complete a total of, but no more than, 160 units, comprised of the following: 150 units of core courses, 10 unit directed course.
