Course Details
In this Master of Engineering, you will deepen your knowledge on a chosen topic within the engineering field through independent, sustained and academically supervised research. With the guidance and supervision of our internationally recognised research staff in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment, you will undertake research to develop an advanced and integrated understanding of a complex body of knowledge in one or more discipline areas. By generating a substantial contribution to knowledge in your chosen area in the form of a thesis of up to 50,000 words youll become an expert in your field and advance your career prospects.
Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)
Course structure: 16 credit points
Through SEP499 Professional Engineering Practice, you'll gain industry experience by completing at least 60 days (12 full time weeks) of practical work experience in an engineering workplace, developing and enhancing your understanding of the engineering profession, possible career outcomes, and the opportunity to establish valuable professional networks. While students are encouraged to find placements themselves, the School and Faculty has a WIL team that can provide dedicated support and opportunities to students. Any unit which contains work integrated learning, a community placement or interaction with the community may require a police check, Working with Children Check or other check.
