Course Details

Develop the skills and knowledge to be a leader in business information technology.The Master of Business Information Technology produces ethically and socially responsible professionals ready to innovate and lead in the changing business IT environment.This degree is designed to prepare you for roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager or IT Consultant where you will act as a bridge between IT and the business delivering solutions for stakeholders.Students can also gain insights and explore opportunities for mentoring and employment, by interacting with guest speakers from a range of organisations.

Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)

Course structure: This degree comprises 11 core subjects and 5 electives.You will have the opportunity to choose an elective in management, information systems, logistics or computer science to match your career goals.The Business Information Technology Project subject is designed to give you the opportunity to analyse, design, and develop a business information systems solution for an industry client as part of a project team.You will also get to explore a complex problem, and test and evaluate potential solutions with industry and community stakeholders in the subject Business Research Design.

MBIT graduates work effectively in the public and private sectors. They are in the following positions at organisations in Australia and around the world: IT manager; IT consultant; chief information officer; e-business and e-procurement managers; business and systems analyst; system management analyst; database administrator; IT project manager; web developer; systems architect; and IT contract manager.
