Course Details
The Graduate Diploma in Science (Aquaculture) requires 1 year of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course specialisation is offered by the College of Science and Engineering. The course specialisation articulates with the 18 unit Graduate Certificate in Science (Aquaculture) and the Master of Science (Aquaculture), and the sequentially developed topics enable progression through the three awards.

Course structure: This is a 36 unit program where students complete six core (compulsory) topics and two option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to provide students the opportunity to gain advanced theoretical and technical knowledge and apply their knowledge to understand aquaculture operations.; numeracy and statistics relevant to aquaculture and for independent thinking and complex problem solving. Using specialised aquaculture facilities on campus students will be able to apply key knowledge in nutrition, water quality, reproduction, product quality and health issues.
