Graduate Diploma in Research Methods - College of Business, Government and Law


Course Details

The Graduate Diploma in Research Methods provides students with high-level knowledge and skills in research methods as a pathway towards further learning at research higher degree level. Students will normally be required to achieve a GPA of at least 6.00 to be eligible to apply for higher degree by research study. The material which has been accepted for the award of any other degree or diploma cannot be used for the HDR thesis.

Qualification: Graduate Diploma

Course structure: Students complete four core (compulsory) topics and a research project. These topics aim to enable students to develop their research skills and/or generic and transferable skills to prepare them for entry into a research higher degree and gain skills to independently plan research activities, manage their time, and present their research both orally and in writing.; and gain the ability to critically evaluate and analyse complex issues and deploy evidence in support of a research output.
