Course Details
The Graduate Certificate in Public Health can be undertaken on a part-time basis in two to four consecutive semesters. The course is offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health. The course articulates with the 54 or 72 unit Master of Public Health, and the sequentially developed topics enable progression through the awards. The course is also available as an exit award from the combined degree MD-MPHA Doctor of Medicine / Master of Public Health, subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below.

Course structure: This is an 18-unit program where students complete two core (compulsory) topics and either one or two option topics chosen from a range of option topics available aimed at providing students the knowledge to understand population health in Australia and internationally and the skills to analyse social determinants of health and well-being to apply these to improve public health practice.
