Graduate Certificate in Mining Engineering


Course Details

The School of Mining Engineering offers a Graduate Certificate in Mining Engineering (local students only) to allow a more flexible entry mode for applicants who have limited tertiary qualifications. Admission will be considered on an individual basis and will be based on academic qualifications and level of experience within the mining industry. Students with at least four years of relevant responsible industry experience and vocational certificates may also gain entry with permission based on a portfolio and interview.

Qualification: Graduate Certificate

Course structure: The Graduate Certificate in Mining Engineering requires 24 UOC. Students must do the stream Mining Engineering. Student enrolment in core and elective courses must be consistent with the Stream rules. Please note that some electives may be offered only every two years. Students must choose three core courses from 'Foundation Disciplinary Knowledge Courses' and 'Advanced Disciplinary Knowledge Courses' lists.
