Course Details
Melbourne Law School aims to admit outstanding graduates from a wide variety of countries and to provide them with a world class experience in undertaking a graduate research degree. The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree requires you to undertake a substantial piece of independent and original research under academic supervision. The research thesis is examined externally by scholars with international standing in the research field of the thesis topic.
Qualification: Doctor Degree (By Research)
Course structure: The PhD is undertaken for up to 4 years (full-time equivalent) or up to 8 years (part-time). Preparation of a thesis of 80,000-100,000 word thesis, under supervision, representing an original and substantial contribution to the knowledge of law.
