Course Details

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) course at the School of Medicine, Fremantle is a 4-year postgraduate course open to students from a wide range of undergraduate degrees; the course prepares graduates to become medical interns in hospitals in Australia and New Zealand. The aim of the course is to produce doctors who are excellent clinicians and able to practice in a variety of clinical settings. The graduates will be committed to life-long learning through reflective practice, engage in research and demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and judgment in the context of evidence based practice. Ethical issues in professional life underpin the MD program as well as the principles of patient-centred care and professional medical practice. . Health and illness across a range of populations will be explored throughout the program with an aim to address disparities in health and health care delivery.

Qualification: Doctor Degree (By Research)

Course structure: 800 units of credit
