Gain the comprehensive education needed to work successfully as a speech pathologist. Speech pathologists provide services across the lifespan to people whose educational, vocational, personal and social functioning is affected by communication or swallowing impairment resulting from developmental difficulties, social disadvantage, illness or accident.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: The major academic components of this course comprise lifespan development and social context and its impact on health, anatomy/pathophysiology, phonetics and linguistics, professional studies related to communication and swallowing disorders, and research methods. Students will undertake extensive clinical experience including 2 block placements of 6-8 weeks each.
