Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)


Course Details

This program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in social work and combines studies in the areas of social work practice, social and behavioural sciences, and contextual studies. Students will also undertake two separate field placements in this program to gain the necessary practical experience to apply classroom learning in real-life situations.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: 192 units of credit, including core courses in social work, social research & policy and electives. Students also complete an Honours program which includes a piece of independent or directed research or a professional practice portfolio.

It is a requirement that students who are undertaking placements in certain government departments and related organisations undergo a criminal record check.
