How can societies and individuals manage change in times of uncertainty? How might we address inequalities nurture health and wellbeing and meet the challenges of climate change, rapidly changing workplaces and emerging technologies? What skills are required to thrive in the labour market and find fulfilling work? What kind of evidence, values and decision-making processes are needed to guide our choices towards a fairer, healthier and more secure world for all? The Bachelor of Social Sciences is designed for those who are passionate about seeking meaningful answers to these pressing questions and who wish to create purposeful change in the world. Youll forge your skills in the social sciences via a set of core units, while deepening and broadening your knowledge through one of four interdisciplinary majors in health, climate, global development or work. In your final year, youll collaborate with peers to research, analyze and present solutions to a driving concern pitched by industry partners. With a unique skill set that bridges the arts and sciences, youll graduate with the capabilities to manage complex stakeholders, bring diverse technical experts together and progress multifaceted policy debates.
