Bachelor of Social Science - Human Services (MBSS)


Course Details

The Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) provides students with a sound knowledge of the political, behavioural and social sciences, and equips them with the skills needed for professional practice in the human services field as an accredited community worker, policy advocate or manager of human services. Students gain practical experience in on-campus Social Work Studios, and build workplace networks in field education placements during their final year.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: 108 units; 63 units of core studies, social policy and human services theory; 4.5 units of free elective; 22.5 units of practice skills; 18 units of field placements.

Students can combine the Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) degree with another degree and with one extra year of study can graduate with an additional Bachelor of Psychological Science qualification.
