Course Details

The Bachelor of Science (Chemical Sciences) requires 3 years of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course specialisation is offered by the College of Science and Engineering. The course specialisation is also available as an exit award from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Chemical Sciences) - 4 years, subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: The first year contains core subjects that focus on chemistry and mathematics and lay the foundation for the second and third years where students will study areas such as Spectroscopy, Drug Analysis, Nanotechnology and Polymer Science. Experimental chemistry skills are developed throughout the program and offers practical experience that prepares students for the workplace through a professional placement in their final year.
