Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours)


Course Details

The degree integrates the four major disciplines of science (mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology) into a common unified curriculum for two years - taken in India - followed by a diverse choice of majors from science, technology, engineering and health sciences and an advanced specialized year of study which includes a minor research thesis. The final two years of study are completed in Melbourne. Students will be equipped with a range of knowledge and skills to enhance and extend their science studies. The degree will provide flexible pathways to employment, research higher degrees and many professional postgraduate programs.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours) requires the successful completion of 400 credit points. 200 points of compulsory studies completed in India at a recognised partner institution, followed by 200 points of study at the University of Melbourne.25 credit points of Breadth in Year 1 (India) (2 x language subjects) and 25 credit points of Level 2/3 Breadth in Year 3 at the University of Melbourne.75 credit points of Level 3 science electives (including a 50 credit point major).75 credit points of Level 9 science electives, including a 25 point research subject entitled Science Research Project (Advanced).
