Course Details
The Bachelor of Nursing - Pre-registration requires 3 years of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course aims to prepare students to be person-centred and evidence-based health professionals who have well-developed clinical reasoning skills and are reflective about their practice. Students will be provided with the learning opportunities they need to practice in the range of healthcare, technology, and policy environments, meet the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: The course is highly structured and combines professional experience placement with topics addressing ethics, law, psychosocial health, mental health, Indigenous health, evidence-based practice and the biophysical sciences. Professional experience placements are undertaken for the duration of the degree in agencies and hospitals throughout metropolitan and rural South Australia.
