Course Details
The Bachelor of Laws - Legal Practice Entry aims to provide students with a sound training in law and legal skills and emphasise the acquisition on foundation legal skills through the integration of skills training with the teaching of substantive subjects. This degree instils in students a desire for just outcomes, a broad outlook on law and a commitment to ethical conduct and equips students to develop an innovation and entrepreneurial mindset to respond to 21st century opportunities.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: Students of this degree who after completing 121 units of study must also complete the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice to make them eligible to apply to the Supreme Court for admission to practise as a barrister and solicitor in South Australia. Successful applicants to this course are issued a conditional offer of entry to the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, subject to meeting progression requirements. The Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice is taught in partnership with Leo Cussen Centre for Law over 5 rotations including Induction, Transactions (Commercial and Corporate Practice and Property Practice), Specialist (2 options), Disputes (Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution), and Profession Ready.
