Course Details

Laws and Commerce is a double degree which provides a foundation in accounting, finance, economics, management and marketing, and a practical knowledge of the Australian legal system. You will develop a thorough legal and commercial understanding of business and trade.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Laws course consists of 156 points of study with 17 compulsory units. The remainder of the program consists of Law elective units, including 1 Commercial law elective and 1 Research project elective, selected by the student in order to tailor their course to their interests. The Bachelor of Commerce component requires that students complete 96 points of study at the Clayton campus, consisting of 5 compulsory common core units, an 8-unit major in 1 of the available areas of study and additional elective units available from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the Clayton campus.

If students are intending to practise law outside Australia, they should refer to that country's legal admissions board.
