Course Details
Become a sports scientist work in sports performance developing healthy living and rehabilitation programs. Our new Health and Sports Precinct allows you to focus on practical learning in a hands-on environment, in addition to industry placements.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: This course consists of 360 credit points. Students will undertake a mix of theoretical and practical units, consisting of four 15-credit point courses per semester. Students will complete 21 core units and 3 specialisation elective units.
All applicants (year 12 and non-year 12) applying through VTAC are strongly encouraged to complete and submit an Personal Statement, available through VTAC. A minimum of 250 hours of industry placement in a variety of areas and organisations. These placements can be undertaken on an ongoing part-time basis or as full-time block placements over 2-3 weeks. Throughout the three years you will be encouraged and expected to undertake professional practice in a variety of areas and organisations to enable you to identify and develop the appropriate skills and competencies required to work in the different areas of the exercise and sports science industry.
