University of Wollongong
Course Details
Mechatronic engineering is a combination of mechanical, electrical and computer technologies. Industrial robots are a famous example of mechatronic engineering: computer-controlled mechanical arms capable of performing manual labour with greater strength, speed and efficiency than a human. Computer-controlled systems are now a staple in modern society, from washing machines to central air conditioning, cameras, and computer printers. Students will gain the skills required to help engineer the systems of the future.
