Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Flexible Entry


Course Details

Embark on the first-year of your engineering degree without choosing your engineering specialisation with the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Flexible Entry. At the end of your first year you can transition to the second year of a named engineering specialisation of your choice, with no loss of time.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: First year comprises core topics focusing on engineering and scientific fundamentals such as materials, mechanics, programming, mathematics, design and electronics. Once successfully completing the first year of the pathway, students will be able to select their engineering specialisation from the following: Biomedical.; Computer and Network Systems.; Electrical.; Electronics.; Maritime.; Mechanical.; Robotics or Software and transfer into their chosen engineering degree. Students will commence their engineering degree from its second year focusing their study in their chosen engineering specialisation. Third year of the chosen engineering degree incorporates our nationally recognised industry placement program which provides students with 20 weeks of structured industry work experience with a local, national or international organisation. The final year of the chosen engineering degree includes a major research project.
