Course Details

Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a professional career that utilises mathematics, science, technology and problem solving skills to design, construct and maintain the products and services that underpin modern society. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is the major area of expertise behind control and automation, telecommunications and networking, signal processing, analogue, digital and computer electronics and power generation, distribution and utilisation. It is also vital in new and emerging fields such as nanotechnology, robotics, renewable energy and the Internet of Things. Mathematical skills are valuable wherever real world problems must be solved, including the areas of manufacturing and scheduling. The private sector needs statisticians in management and technical roles, finance, bioinformatics, biotechnology, health research, marketing, insurance, engineering and more. In addition, government agencies and research institutions employ statisticians to design, collect, analyse and interpret data.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mathematics is a five year program, students are required to complete 400 units which is comprised of: 290 units of Core Courses; 60 units of Mathematics Directed Courses; 20 units are taken at the 2000 level; 40 units are taken at the 3000 level; 40 units of Electrical and Electronic Directed Courses; and 10 units of Elective Courses.

It may not always be possible to complete this combined Engineering degree within 5 years. This combined Engineering degree is not available for midyear admission by International Students.
