Cyber security threats are a rapidly growing global challenge for individuals and businesses alike. Secure technology is not only pivotal to business, but to living everyday life. Deakins Bachelor of Cyber Security equips you with the essential skills to investigate and combat cybercrime and cyber terrorism. You will have the expertise to tackle one of the fastest growing criminal threats to modern-day society. Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: 24 credit points over 3 years. This course includes an internship unit which provides professional work experience with an approved host organisation. Students may have the opportunity to work on commercial/real-world products, gaining experience in entrepreneurship, and business skills around software production and publishing.

Students enrolled in this course will have the opportunity to complete the following certifications, noting that these certifications are not part of your course requirements. Cyber Security Fundamentals; Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator; Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Security Analyst. Career options include work as a security analyst, project manager, security system manager, cryptographer, consultant, security system developer or programmer, information security auditor, business continuity or cyber security engineer.
