Australia is home to some of the most unique and diverse coastlines and marine ecosystems in the world. By understanding the ecological, physical, conservation, societal and management issues we face in coastal and marine environments, such as climate change, pollution, urbanisation and conflicting users, we can help find solutions to these problems. From the first day in your program you will engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences, developing the fundamental skills needed for a career in coastal and marine science. You'll be learning from experts in marine, coastal and ecological fields, and engage with managers and policy makers from industry, government and the not-for-profit sectors, thus beginning the important process of establishing the professional networks that will be critical throughout your career. By the time you finish your Bachelor of Coastal and Marine Science, you will have the practical skills to make a difference in the world, and contribute new solutions to the many scientific challenges we face.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: The Bachelor of Coastal and Marine Science requires students to pass courses totalling 240 units, as follows: 110 units of Core courses: 10 unit Mathematics Directed course*: 10 unit Statistics Directed course: 40 unit Minor: 70 units of Electives**
