The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)/ Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Honours) provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in two areas of engineering and complete two awards. In general, this combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills. Students develop skills in the design and building of large scale projects such as roads, bridges, airports, major buildings and water supply systems whilst also gaining skills to assess and model the potential damage and long-term environmental problems resulting from human activity and, importantly, devise environmentally sustainable and economic solutions.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)
Course structure: The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Honours) is a five year program, students are required to complete a total of 400 units, which are comprised of: 360 units of core courses; 20 units of design core courses; 10 units of project core courses; and 10 units of Environmental Engineering project core courses.
It may not always be possible to complete this combined Engineering degree within 5 years. This combined Engineering degree is not available for midyear admission by International Students.
