Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Business


Course Details

This program provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in Civil Engineering and Business and complete two awards. In general, this program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills. Students develop skills in the design and building of large scale projects such as roads, bridges, airports, major buildings and water supply systems whilst also gaining skills for work in many areas of business, and the opportunity to progress in a business management career.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Business is a five year program, students are required to complete a total of 410 units, which is comprised of: 320 units of core courses; 20 units of design project courses; 10 units of project core courses; and 60 units towards a major. Students may choose either: The Leadership and Management Major, of which 30 units are compulsory courses and 40 units are directed courses; or The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Major, of which 40 units are compulsory courses and 20 units are directed courses.

It may not always be possible to complete this combined Engineering degree within 5 years. This combined Engineering degree is not available for midyear admission by International Students
