Course Details

Combine visual arts with business to broaden your skills and establish a career as a project manager, artist, manager, marketer, consultant or administrator. This combined degree opens up a wide range of creative and business careers. You will graduate not only with advanced technical and creative skills, but also with highly developed business knowledge. Visual arts at QUT can help you find your niche in the burgeoning local art scene and beyond, by supporting you to define and shape your creative identity. Through our unique open-studio environment, you will focus on contemporary art practices without being divided into separate media-specific areas, such as painting or sculpture, as in traditional art schools. Practise art across a range of media including video, photography, installation, performance and printmaking, as well as painting and sculpture. This distinctive cross-disciplinary approach encourages fluid, self-directed investigation, crucial to your arts practice.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 384 credit points, made up of 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Business and 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Fine Arts. You will undertake the two components of the double degree concurrently.
