Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Science


Course Details

This dual degree program is designed for those wanting to incorporate actuarial studies with a science program. Not only does it help develop technical and non-technical skills needed to pursue the role of an actuarial analyst in the financial services or insurance industry, it also develops strong scientific and methodological skills. There is a wide range of study options (with more than 20 fields of science) being offered, and students have the flexibility to specialise and focus on special areas of interest, career paths or individual strengths.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: 32 courses (192 uoc): Actuarial Studies core courses; 3 Level 3 Actuarial Studies electives; Business School elective; One science major; Science electives NOTE: You must complete at least 16 courses (96 UOC) for actuarial studies and 16 courses (96 UOC) for science.

The UNSW HSC Plus does not apply to the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and its dual degrees.
