Course Details

This program was developed in consultation with industry, government, accounting professional bodies and universities to meet the growing demand for business professionals qualified in the areas of accounting and sustainable business. It is ideal for those wishing to combine a mainstream accounting program with a sustainability and environmental focus. Traditional accounting topics such as business law, tax, auditing, and corporate accounting are combined with specialist topics such as sustainability, environmental law, environmental economics and policy. The program will prepare graduates for the changes facing business, society and the accounting profession in general.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: Credit points are a basic measure of student workload. All subjects are given a credit point value. Most subjects at Melbourne Polytechnic are 12 credit points. A normal full-time annual workload is 96 credit points. The academic year is divided into two main semesters; full-time students usually enrol in 48 credit points each semester, part-time students usually enrol in 24 credit points each semester or less.
