This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use wide-ranging specialised technical, creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives, with initiative and judgement in planning, design, technical or management functions in the apparel industry. Job roles in established organisations may include designers, product developers, senior patternmakers and production managers. In the business area, roles may include assistant positions in marketing, buying and visual merchandising.
